Spring is Here!

Ah spring is finally here.  I love the beautiful flowers this time of year.
Last weekend I hastily put up a "springish" wreath, mainly just so I could take down my Valentine's wreath.  Anyway it is a light aqua blue mesh, I had some pussy willow branches from my Valentine's day flowers from Paul that I saved and thought they would look good along with a tiny bird's nest and maybe some eggs.  BUT I ran out of time so it was just the mesh and the branches.  I was out of town most of the week so when I came home I wanted to check it to see how big a nest I needed, etc.
To my surprise a mother bird had solved my problem, although I would have put the nest where it could be seen.  ha!
 Can you see the nest?
 Looks like five eggs.
 The front porch.

While I was outside taking pictures of the bird's nest.  (and yes the mother has returned so I didn't scare her away) I found some other signs of spring.  A few bee's were in the mock orange shurbs.

Here is a close up of one busy bee!

Happy Spring y'all.

Oh my Where did February go?

Ah the best laid plans of mice and ME!!!
I had such great hopes to post a picture at least once a week, but somehow life got in the way.
I won't go into all the details but lets just say other than my sweet son turning 30 the entire month was a wash.  I had an appointment, site visit, audit or something every day of the month.  Plus a few surprises thrown in. I am happy to say my MIL is doing much better, I was so worried for a while there.
Oh there was one other great thing that happened, Paul retired.  Yes I am now the wife of a retiree.  Hmmmm does that sound old to you???  Just a few days after he retired he left here to go to Hattiesburg to be with is mother.  And he is coming home today.  We were talking(texting) last night that other than a couple of times early in our marriage this is the longest we have been apart.  I am so ready to have him home.  And that "honey do" list is pretty long by now.  hint hint.
Isn't that what retired husbands do?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
